About Anna Shinholster

Anna Shinholster is a singer-songwriter from Georgia. An indie style artist, she writes and performs original, heartfelt songs that stem from her own life experiences. Her musical influences include: Cavetown, Dayglow, The Drums, Mac DeMarco, and Current Joys. Anna enjoys writing her own songs (music and lyrics) and plays a wide variety of covers spanning from Fleetwood Mac to Blondie to Radiohead.

Anna has been performing and playing acoustic guitar and ukulele since she was 13 years old. In 2018, she entered and won second place in the Madlife Stage and Studios Undiscovered Artist series which encouraged her to continue to seek out new places to play live music, gain experience, and learn from fellow musicians. Since then, she’s performed in Wire and Wood Music Festival in 2022, the 30A Songwriters Festival in 2022 and 2023, and the Ellijay Songwriters Festival in 2023. She has become a regular on the live scene in the north Georgia and Metro Atlanta area. Currently living in Murfreesboro, TN, she is branching out locally and traveling home to Georgia and around the southeast to perform.

Music has always been Anna’s passion, and it has blossomed over the years as it has been expressed through church choir, musical theatre, and live performances throughout the Southeast. Her songs tend to be driven by themes of honesty and empathy as she tries to relate her feelings and personal stories through powerful melody and heartfelt lyrics.
